The Let's Go Aero ArcHaus Tent Shelter part # SAR024 is setup like pretty much any other tent. There are connecting rods that run through the fabric and then get staked into the ground to hold them in place. I have attached snips from the instructions below. view full answer...
I'd be happy to help! The connectors for the T-One # 118392 will tee in behind the tail lights on your 2021 Chevy Express Van. It can be a little intimidating to start pulling at the wiring on your van but if you hop to the 3:00 minute mark of the attached install video of this wiring kit on a 2020 Express Van you can see how we went about this. In some models you have to remove the tail light to plug in the tees but it looks like for this application the connector is easily accessible... view full answer...
The four wires on trailer brake controllers are standardized so they always connect in the same way. The black wire connects to the battery positive terminal (through a circuit breaker) to deliver operating power to the controller; the white wire is ground; the blue wire carries the controller's output to the vehicle's trailer connector; and the red wire connects to the cold side of the brake light switch.
This red wire brings in the signal from the brake light switch and that tells the... view full answer...
If your van has a round plug with a cap inside the driver's side frame rail you can use part # 30955 to complete the 7-way installation. This combination 4-pole/7-way trailer socket will plug right in to the round U.S. Car Connector if present. The blue brake output wire will already be present; it runs from the 7-way up to the dash near the emergency brake pedal.
The blue vehicle wire connects to the blue wire on the P2. The white wire on the P2 is ground and connects to the battery negative... view full answer...
Either one is fine to do. With the Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier part # FSTC1000301 you are not going to be adding a great deal of width to your trailer so the difference is minimum.
Giving you my opinion since there is no rule I would Choose the side I access less which for me would be the passenger's side. I find myself hopping out of the driver's seat and hopping into the trailer from that side so I would want to have it on passenger's side to keep that area open for access. view full answer...
While I haven't seen the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 used on a vehicle with an offset receiver, when the tire is lowered to the left it will allow the left rear door to at least partially open. Typically the tire size will be sufficient so that you won't be able to open it completely. With that said, if you open the right rear door, put the spare down, and then open the left door you should be able to fully open both doors without any issues.
I've linked our review video... view full answer...
Yes the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator part # CAM59313 can be mounted at the top of the tank or anywhere along the line that you need it for your application. Keep in mind it should be mounted vertically however to operate properly. view full answer...
The Carr Hide Away Step for Work Trucks # CARR501050 comes straight out and doesn't have a rise. This means that the first step to get into your 2017 Chevy Express Van will be lowered roughly to the mounting point of this step which would be the frame of your vehicle. view full answer...
If you need an on-board air compressor system that will work to not only fill the air helper bags but also inflate tires and other accessories you'll need one with a tank, the Air Lift QuickShot Compressor System part # AL25690 is what I recommend and it comes with everything you need including the air chuck. view full answer...
If you look at our FAQ page on brake controllers, which I have provided for you, you will see a chart showing how to match the typical wire colors from your 2006 Chevrolet Express Van and the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195. If your vehicle has a factory-provided brake controller harness, the breakdown is as follows:
Wire Harness: Red, Brake Controller: Black, Function: +12 Volts
Wire Harness: Light Blue, Brake Controller: Red, Function: Stoplight
Wire Harness: Black, Brake... view full answer...
On the brake switch on the 2005 Chevy Express Van chassis look for a white wire. Use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to test that wire and if it only has power when the brake pedal is pressed then it is the correct wire and will attach to the brake controller red wire. I have linked a video that should also help. view full answer...
I'm assuming your Express doesn't have the 7-way, but does have the capped round plug behind the bumper on the drivers side frame rail, you'll install part # 30955. Simply remove the cap and plug the connector in.
To wire up the controller itself, you'll need an install kit like part # 5506. The controller would mount under the dash, within reach of the driver preferably to the right of the steering column so its not jostled by the driver getting in and out of the vehicle.
The blue wire... view full answer...
Attempting to wire a 4 pole like the # 18002 into the taillight system of your 1999 Express won't work, as you've found.
The 1999 Express uses what is referred to as a separate or a 3 wire taillight system, where the running lights, turn signals and brake lights are carried on 3 different circuits. If your van had a 2 wire system, where the running lights were on one circuit and the turn signals and brake lamps were combined on the same circuit, the # 18002 would've worked fine, but since... view full answer...
The Optronics # ILL24CB is going to be brighter than the Optronics # ILL22CB. In the videos and photos they are of the lights installed on different trailers and mounting locations so yes, it is very hard to tell.
The # ILL22CB is also being demonstrated in an all white trailer with the interior of the installation bay's lights on, which white carries light so this could explain why it appears brighter.

We haven't had the chance to install a brake controller on a 2008 Chevy van yet, but we have installed brake controllers on a 2007 and 2009. I attached both installation videos for you to check out. On the 2007 model, it was a white wire coming from the stop light switch and on the 2009 model it was a blue wire with a white stripe.
We did have a 2012 model where we weren't able to find the correct wire at the switch, so we actually ran a wire back out into the engine bay to the fuse box... view full answer...
In order to find the brake wire under your dash, you are going to need a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. Then you are going to need someone to engage the brake on your 2000 Chevrolet Express Van as you use your circuit tester to see which is the brake wire. When you find the right wire, a light will glow on the circuit tester.
The wires you need to test are the bundle of wires coming out of the back of the brake pedal stop light switch. Use the circuit tester to find the hot wire only... view full answer...
The yellow wire on adapter # 30717 can be for auxiliary 12 volt power or for reverse lights. Auxiliary power is not something commonly used on pop-up trailers. Essentially, it is just another 12 volt circuit to power things that need 12 volt power on the trailer. But since there is already a 12 volt circuit you likely would not need it.
It would install the same way as the 12 volt circuit (black wire). You would run a length of wire, # 12-1-1, sold by the foot, from the yellow wire to... view full answer...
If the wire color does not match, you will need to test your wires to confirm which is the correct. This does happen fairly often, and you will need something like the Circuit Tester # PTW2993 to see which wire has power when the brake pedal is pressed. I included an install video we did on a 2019 Express Van for you to check out, but again, if your wires do not match, you will need to test the wires to find the correct ones. view full answer...
While every situation is different those are the color and size wires that GM uses to wire their brake controller connections. Using these to install your Prodigy P3 part # 90195 will likely result in a successful installation. That hinged on them having pinned the wires correctly which it would appear if they used the upgraded harness they would but I can not guarantee they did. I hope that makes sense.
If it does not work let me know and I can help you with what you need. view full answer...
The 2005 Chevy Express Van does not have a port for a plug and play brake controller wiring harness. Instead, you will need to do a little hard wiring. If your van has a factory installed tow package, you will need Brake Control Plug-In Harness, # 20127. One end plugs into the brake controller, the other end has blunt cut wires.
Locate the blue brake wire on the van. It is located under the dash near the emergency brake pedal. This wire attaches to the brake controller blue wire. The... view full answer...
